The Bugatti Bolide is one of the most insane track-focused hypercars ever conceived and while it has yet to be given the thumbs up for production, we’ve got little doubt customers would line-up in their droves to buy one if it got the green light.
The Bugatti Bolide is powered by a modified 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine that churns out 1,824 hp. With a dry weight of just 1,240 kg (2,733 lbs), the performance figures being quoted are stunning. According to the automaker, it will sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.17 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 4.36 seconds, 300 km/h (186 mph) in 7.37 seconds, 400 km/h (248 mph) in 12.08 seconds, and 0-500 km/h (310 mph) in 20.16 seconds.

What’s particularly remarkable about the Bolide is the fact that despite its focus on aerodynamics, it looks great and, according to Frank Stephenson, the French automaker has nailed its design.
Stephenson describes the Bolide as “mind-boggling” and is a fan of all areas of the design. He is particularly fond of the rear-end, which features X-shaped LED taillights, a massive three-layer diffuser, and minimal bodywork hiding the massive rear tires.
There are, however, a few minor alterations that Stephenson would like to make. For example, he thinks the Bolide could do with a set of thin laser headlights and would rather have the current X-shaped items act like daytime running lights, and would also make the roof scoop more aggressive.
