A professional Russian ice hockey player and his family are lucky to be alive after crashing their Porsche Macan through a multistory parking lot in Moscow and almost falling to the ground.

Denis Kazionov was driving the German SUV with his wife in the passenger seat and his young son in the backseat. Speaking with local media, Kazionov said he lost control because of the slippery floors in the parking lot, RT reports.

“Yes, it was my car,” he said. “I was driving together with my family, my wife and my son who was sitting in the back. It was an open parking area with just one wall on one side. The floor was smooth, as in many shopping centers. Plus, it was covered with snow. I put on the brake but the car wouldn’t stop. It continued moving until we crashed into the wall. We were in utter shock.”

Driving on smooth concrete covered in snow isn’t easy and evidently, it caught out the 33-year-old.

Images and videos taken after the crash show the front of the Porsche Macan, including the front wheels, dangling over the edge of the parking lot. It’s hard to say what stopped the SUV from completely falling out but it seems some of the external framing of the parking structure might have helped.

The damage sustained to the Macan doesn’t look to be all that bad but it will certainly need a new windshield and a new front bumper. It also suffered some damage to its undertray and possibly its radiator.
