Dashcam footage has hit YouTube showing the moment a trucker was caught in the middle of a tornado in Horsham, Pennsylvania.

The incident happened earlier this month and the video starts off by showing the truck driver braking while approaching a red light. There are heavy winds and vicious rainfall; as the video progresses, the winds steadily increase in their ferocity and before long, knock out one of the traffic lights.

Soon after, you can’t see more than a couple of dozen feet out of the truck’s windshield. The truck is then briefly lifted before dropping back to the road. Unfortunately for the driver, the gusts continue to increase in intensity and before long, the truck is flipped onto its side. Thankfully, the driver doesn’t appear to have been injured.

The video was shared across Reddit, with some users suggesting that the truck driver could have tried to prevent the incident by turning the cab of the truck to either the left or the right, so the truck and its trailer would form an L-shape. However, given that the direction of the wind was quickly changing throughout the ordeal, it’s hard to say if this would have made any difference.
