Dashcam footage has captured the moment a Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe was involved in a terrifying crash in the Netherlands earlier this year.
The rear-facing dashcam initially shows the cammer driving in the center lane of a highway while a silver VW Polo and a black C-Class Coupe can be seen approaching in the passing lane. Notably, the driver of the C-Class Coupe is tailgating the Polo and pulls out into the same lane as the cammer in an attempt to overtake the VW.

The C-Class Coupe driver is unable to make an overtake before catching up to the cammer and is forced to pull back in behind the Polo. However, in doing so, the driver loses control of the car and cuts across the front of the cammer. It is unclear if contact was made between the pair but we can see the Mercedes violently fishtailing towards the edge of the highway and slamming into a steep grass embankment.
The force of this impact sends the C-Class soaring through the air before it rolls and ultimately comes to a rest in a ditch.
Various motorists pull over and rush over to the driver to see if they are okay. It is unclear if the driver was injured but, as far as we can see, it doesn’t appear as though any airbags were deployed, which certainly isn’t a good sign.
