Recent videos and photos from the set of the next addition to the Fast & Furious franchise, the 10th movie in the saga that will be called “Fast-X”, revealed a selection of the vehicles that may be featured in the noted car movie franchise.

A video taken by YouTube channel ‘German in Venice’, from the Angelino Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, showed two upcoming EV concepts and the Dodge Charger long associated with the character Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel).

The first concept car, seen driving off a street that had been closed down for the filming of the movie, is the recently unveiled Dodge Daytona SRT EV concept. Seen in the same shade called ‘Greys of Thunder’, as the one presented recently at the car’s unveiling, the car also retains its light up grille.

Horsepower and torque figures have not yet been revealed for the concept car that will effectively replace the gas-powered Challenger. It does, however, sit on an 800-volt architecture and will, reportedly, exceed the performance of the SRT Hellcat engine.

Since the Fast & Furious series has been connected with the Dodge Charger since the first film, it makes sense that Dodge would opt to include this electric concept in the series’ tenth and final installment. Less intimately associated with the franchise, but no less associated with Hollywood, was the brand behind the second concept car seen in this video.

The new Delorean Alpha5 was also caught by YouTuber ‘ German in Venice’

Filmed with its massive gullwing door open, the second car appears to be the Delorean Alpha5 concept. Seen driving in the dark with no lights on, it looks like the car might not have the rear window louvers seen in the concept, but is at least driving under its own power.

That massive gullwing door gives occupants access to both rows of seats. Under the low-slung body, meanwhile, the car will get a 100 kWh battery that’s good for 300 miles (483 km) of range. Power outputs have not been revealed for this car either, but it is estimated that it will hit 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill in just 2.9 seconds and will be capable of continuing on to a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

The movie being filmed, known as Fast 10 or Fast-X, will be the penultimate film in the series. Set to be released on April 7, 2023, it has garnered some frustration from residents surrounding filming locations, who say that the movie’s presence has inspired fans to perform dangerous stunts in their neighborhood. In fact, the video was initially intended to be of the protests surrounding the movie.
