Hyundai Mobis will use CES to unveil the new M.Vision TO and M.Vision HI concepts.

Starting with the M.Vision TO, the concept is an autonomous shuttle that features an open and airy design thanks to the extensive use of glass on everything from the doors to the roof. The company didn’t go into many specifics, but the teaser image shows the concept will have active aero flaps and external displays, which appear to show upcoming stops as well as its destination.

While we can only get a glimpse of the interior, Hyundai Mobis said the concept features resilient seats that can be folded or rotated. The company went on to say the concept has been equipped with “cameras, radars, LiDARs, e-corner modules, and MR [mixed reality] displays that are integrated into the four pillars” of the vehicle.  The e-corner modules are notable as they combine an electric motor with steering, braking, and suspension components so the wheels can turn up to 90 degrees.

The M.Vision HI concept is a more luxurious take on the same idea. It resembles a futuristic shipping container as it features a boxy design, covered wheels, and large side windows.

The windows double as displays that can be used for everything from watching movies to shopping online. To aid in the latter, the concept features “gaze-assisted remote control technology that utilizes the eyes of the user as the controller.”

Besides the concepts, Hyundai Mobis will introduce 19 newly developed technologies that are “mass-producible” and could show up in production vehicles. We’ll learn more about them next month, but the company said we can expect LED grille lighting, a hologram augmented-reality head-up display, and a “future cockpit integrated solution.”
