• BMW and Kith have unveiled two custom X5 crossovers.
  • 2000 model sports a 5.0-liter V10 and six-speed manual.
  • The 2027 X5 has special paint job and sporty interior.

BMW and Kith have unveiled their latest collaborations, which include a 2027 X5 and a classic model from 2000. The latter is the more notable of the two as it combines a 5.0-liter V10 with a six-speed manual transmission.

Created over the course of a year, the E53 underwent a complete “rotisserie restoration” and powertrain upgrade. The companies were coy on specifics, but the S85 V10 was used in the M5, where it produced 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 383 lb-ft (520 Nm) of torque.

The Titanium Silver Metallic crossover retains its factory all-wheel drive system, but has been equipped with a custom exhaust, a revamped suspension, and BMW M Sport brakes with blue Kith-branded calipers.

Inside, there’s black leather with Kith embossing on the seats, center console lid, shift boot, and door panels. They’re joined by metallic trim and a Kith-branded speedometer.

The 2027 BMW X5 by Kith is relatively plain by comparison, but it sports a Frozen Titanium Silver exterior with 23-inch wheels and Kith badging. The model also has M Sport brakes as well as clear taillights.

Stepping inside, there are carbon fiber shelled sport seats wrapped in black leather. They sport Kith embossing as well as a “K&K” crest in the second-row.

The one-off model is apparently based on the X5 40 xDrive, which features a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six developing 394 hp (294 kW / 400 PS) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque. It enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 5.1 seconds, before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
