• A modified Bronco Big Bend went to auction and failed to sell.
  • Its matte Abyss Blue armor coating split opinion and sank interest.
  • The build adds a lift, 37-inch tires, and stacks of LED lights.

Despite what your eyes might be telling you, these aren’t computer-generated images or screenshots ripped from Forza. They’re real photos of a wild 2025 Bronco Big Bend that recently hit the auction block in the US wearing one very intriguing exterior finish.

This Bronco, which failed to sell by the way, has been extensively modified by SoFlo Customs. The most obvious point of difference between it and any other Bronco you’ll see on the road is the matte armor coating applied to the exterior, finished in Abyss Blue. It looks bonkers, and based on some of the comments from the auction, it isn’t particularly popular.

“I think the seller should be forced to keep this and live with their horrible choices,” reads one of the top comments. That sentiment captures the eternal problem with modifying any vehicle, Bronco or otherwise. Loving the way your build looks is one thing. Finding someone else willing to pay for that vision is another, which is why returning a car to stock before listing it tends to be the smarter play.

Beyond the unusual exterior finish, this Bronco includes a 3.5-inch suspension lift kit, 20-inch Silver Apoc wheels, 37-inch tires, an aftermarket front bumper with LED lights, Rough Country steel side steps, and new off-road lights mounted above the windshield. The sound system has also been upgraded.

In addition, Ford’s 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder has been upgraded and should produce slightly more than the standard 275 hp and 315 lb-ft (427 Nm) of torque. While no dyno sheet has been provided, the Cars & Bids listing notes the presence of a Turbosmart Kompact blow-off valve and an Evolv performance chip.

You’ll no doubt notice that the cabin of this Bronco is also quite different than a run-of-the-mill example, sporting dark brown and black weatherproof upholstery across the front and rear seats.

So, would you live with the Abyss Blue armor coat and the rest of the SoFlo treatment, or is this one of those builds best left with its original owner? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
