- Chery will launch yet another midsize pickup, this time with Jetour badges.
- The Zongheng F700 rides on a ladder-frame chassis and has a PHEV setup.
- It has a Land Cruiser Prado face and was shown with camping accessories.
Chery may have just rolled out the new Stockman to fight in the crowded midsize pickup segment, but the Chinese automaker is already lining up the next shot. Jetour, the brand’s rugged, adventure-leaning sub-brand, will launch the new Zongheng F700, a plug-in hybrid truck pointed at the BYD Shark 6.
A concept previewed the truck in April 2025, and a wild 6×6 build followed in April 2026. Jetour has now released the first images of the production version, which should make its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November.

Visually, the first thing you’ll notice is the blocky headlights which are connected to a rugged grille sending strong Land Cruiser vibes. The profile is rather generic with black A-pillars, a generous amount of plastic cladding and sculpted fenders.
The rear end is typical of a midsize pickup with modern taillights and side steps integrated into the bumper. Jetour showed photos of the model fitted with camping-friendly gear and off-road accessories including a rooftop tent, metal racks, a snorkel and auxiliary LEDs.
Filings from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology put the F700 at 5,495 mm (216.3 inches) long, 45 mm (1.8 inches) more than the Chery Stockman. Its wheelbase stretches to 3,350 mm (131.9 inches), longer than midsize benchmarks like the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux, and longer than the BYD Shark 6 it’s chasing.

The cabin runs a pillar-to-pillar display along the base of the windscreen, the same idea BMW is pushing with its Neue Klasse cars. A large free-standing infotainment touchscreen sits alongside it, and a set of physical buttons lives on the high-mounted center console for the people who still want to find a control without looking.
Under the skin, the Jetour Zongheng F700 is similar to the Chery Stockman. It will ride on a ladder-frame architecture with coil-sprung rear suspension and a double wishbone front layout. However, the truck swaps the diesel PHEV layout of its Chery sibling for a more conventional gasoline PHEV powertrain.
The turbo 2.0-liter engine produces 208 hp (155 kW / 211 PS) by itself, before we account the electric motors. Jetour has yet to announce the combined output, but the G700 SUV produces as much as 892 hp (665 kW / 904 PS) and 1,135 Nm (837 lb-ft) of torque with a similar PHEV system.

Energy will be stored in a CATL Shenxing battery pack. Chinese media report that the model will have fast charging capabilities, going from 20-80% in 10 minutes. Finally, the combined range is expected to reach 1,300 km (808 miles) measured under the optimistic CLTC protocols.
The market launch of the Jetour Zongheng F700 is expected later this year. Besides China, which will also be the home of production, the electrified pickup will likely find its way into export markets.
