• Kevin Hart’s custom 2024 Bronco will sell with no reserve.
  • Bronco wears vintage styling but keeps its modern EcoBoost.
  • Every restomod truck at the auction is offered without reserve.

Barrett-Jackson is gearing up for a standout auction tailored to anyone who appreciates restomodded American off-roaders and classic pickups with modern underpinnings. The lineup features several heavily modified vintage models that stay true to their original design, while hiding thoroughly modern hardware underneath.

At the center of it all is a 2024 Ford Bronco owned by Kevin Hart. It flips the usual restomod script, as rather than an old truck rebuilt with new parts, this one starts new and looks old. That might sound a bit backwards, but the result is surprisingly convincing.

The factory bodywork has been swapped for custom panels that mimic a Bronco from the late 1960s or early 1970s. Finished in black and topped with a removable soft roof, it still runs the current 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine.

Like the other featured vehicles, it’s crossing the block with no reserve. That could make for some lucky wins, depending on how the bidding goes.

Another highlight of the auction is a 1973 Ford Bronco that has been rebuilt with a Gen 3 Coyote 5.0-liter V8 and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It has also been updated with a new power steering system, upgraded modern brakes, a 2.5-inch exhaust, and sits on 17-inch wheels. The cabin has also been overhauled, but without any of the screens that so often ruin similar restomods.

Another eye-catcher is a 1973 Ford Bronco that’s been comprehensively reworked. Under the hood is a third-generation 5.0-liter Coyote V8, paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The upgrades continue with new power steering, modern brakes, and a 2.5-inch exhaust.

It rides on 17-inch wheels and, refreshingly, the cabin has been redone without adding screens or digital distractions.

The auction house is also selling a rather special 1968 Ford F-100 pickup. Painted in a combination of white and turquoise, it sits on a new Roadster Shop chassis with coilover suspension and a Coyote 5.0-liter V8. There’s no word on how much power it has, but when you look this cool, who cares how fast your pickup hits 60 mph?

1969 Chevrolet K10

Two more standout builds round out the group. One is a custom 1969 Chevrolet K10 pickup that’s been reimagined around a modern GM chassis and powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 pushing 525 horsepower. The spec sheet includes updated steering, adjustable Fox coilovers, Wilwood brakes, and a fully refinished interior complete with a modern head unit.

The second is a 1965 Chevrolet C10 that originally debuted at the SEMA Show in 2015, featuring a supercharged 6.7-liter V8 and plenty of presence to match.
