Renault has teased the all-new Niagara, ahead of its debut on September 10. It’s a rugged and versatile pickup designed specifically for Latin America.

Previewed by the Niagara concept, the production model promises to be a “spacious, comfortable vehicle” with a “robust design and advanced technology.” The company isn’t saying much else at this point, but they did release a short teaser video.

In the clip, we can see a heavily stylized bed with rounded wheel arches and black fender flares. They’re joined by an upper character line and an angular bed surround with plastic protection on top.

Designers also gave the truck distinctive LED taillights as well as bed rails that flow into an integrated sport bar. Elsewhere, there’s a power port in the bed as well as a tailgate with a Renault emblem and debossed “Niagara” lettering.

The French automaker is keeping details under wraps, but noted the Niagara is part of their futuREady plan to launch 14 new models outside Europe by 2030. It also aims to build on recent launches of the Boreal and Kardian.

The Niagara will be built at Renault’s Córdoba plant in Argentina and launched late this year. Despite sharing its name with the aforementioned concept, the road-going pickup could eschew its eco-friendly powertrain that combined a mild-hybrid engine with a rear-mounted electric motor.
