• Cal’s Motor tweaks its Chevy-inspired kit for the updated Suzuki Jimny.
  • The custom face-swap integrates new radar and ultrasonic sensors.
  • Complete builds start at $21,100 in Japan for the narrow-body variant.

The Suzuki Jimny is one of the best donor vehicles around for a face swap, and plenty of tuners have made a business of turning the boxy little 4×4 into something with a different badge. One of the busiest is Japanese outfit Cal’s Motors, which has just rolled out a refreshed version of its styling package for the updated Jimny. It helps that the small Suzuki already reads like a shrunken classic SUV, so reshaping it into something bigger and older isn’t much of a leap.

The styling kit turns the pint-sized off-roader into a Chevy K5 Blazer impersonator, layering on vintage American flair. It comes in Beas, Beas+, and Beas+L forms, built for the kei-class narrow-body Jimny, the regular Jimny Sierra, and the longer Jimny Nomade respectively.

The Chevy-inspired face-swap first surfaced in 2024, with the five-door version arriving in 2025. Then Suzuki updated the Jimny lineup across late 2025 and early 2026, which forced the tuner to revise the package to keep it compatible.

The 2026 Suzuki Jimny retains the same looks, but the mandatory safety upgrades brought a millimeter-wave radar and ultrasonic sensors. Even so, Cal’s Motor worked the sensors into the chrome-laden front fascia without having to redesign the custom face.

The upshot is that the Chevy-inspired Jimny now plays nicely with an improved ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control and more sophisticated collision avoidance systems.

Beyond the custom grille, bumper, and square chrome headlights, Cal’s Motor will sell you split LED headlights as an option. The makeover also brings chrome-finished disc wheels and a matching rear bumper with round LED taillights. Buyers can add decals, leather seat covers, branded floor mats, an Alpine infotainment system, a digital mirror with rearview camera, and extra speakers.

Predictably, there are no changes under the skin. The narrow-body Beas keeps the turbo 658 cc three-cylinder making 64 hp (47 kW), while the Beas+ and Beas+L use the naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 101 hp (75 kW / 102 PS). Drive goes to the ground through a standard part-time 4WD system paired with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.

Cal’s Motor has opened order slots for the updated builds in Japan. The kei-spec Beas starts at ¥3,380,000 ($21,100) including tax, while the Jimny Sierra-based Beas+ is priced from ¥3,580,000 ($22,300). Owners who already have a Jimny in the garage can buy the kit in pieces instead.
