• 2027 Ford Everest lineup gains new Wolftrak trim in Australia.
  • It features vibrant Zest Green accents and a Traction Green shade.
  • The Ranger-based SUV is available with turbodiesel powertrains.

The Ford Everest is a ladder-frame SUV based on the Ranger pickup which is not offered in the US but flourishes in markets like Australia. The lineup of the model has now been expanded with the Wolftrak trim, adding a touch of color to the exterior and interior design alongside standard towing equipment.

The Wolftrak – previously limited to the Ranger – effectively replaces the limited-edition Wildtrak from 2026 with a mixture of styling and equipment tweaks. Within the 2027 MY Everest lineup, it is positioned above the Active and Sport trims, but below the rugged Tremor and the luxurious Platinum.

Visually, the special edition doesn’t get the Matrix LED headlights of the Wildtrak, but stands out thanks to the Zest Green inserts on the grille and the Wolftrak emblems on the doors and tailgate. It also gets a honeycomb grille and a Traction Green color from the Ranger Super Duty, although buyers can also spec it in the more understated Shadow Black and Command Grey options.

The SUV rides on 20-inch alloy wheels with a matte black finish, shod in all-season tires. However, Ford is also offering a different set of 17-inch alloys with Zest Green inserts wrapped in all-terrain tires. This is a no-cost option, designed for buyers who intend on taking the Everest off the beaten track more often than usual.

The three-row seven-seater cabin also benefits from Traction Green accents on the dashboard, door cards, and leather seats, with Zest Green Wolftrak emblems on the seatbacks. Standard equipment includes an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch infotainment display, a Pro Power Onboard inverter, as well as heated and ventilated front seats with 10-way power adjustments for the driver.

More importantly, the Wolftrak allows owners to take full advantage of its 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs) towing capacity. The SUV comes standard with a factory-fitted tow bar, an integrated trailer brake controller, a trailer connection alarm, as well as the Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring systems with trailer length coverage.

The Wolftrak is available with a pair of diesel powertrains. The entry-level 2.0-liter four-cylinder bi-turbodiesel engine produces 207 hp (154 kW / 210 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, while the flagship 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel is good for 247 hp (184 kW / 250 PS) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. In both cases, power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox and a 4WD system.

The 2027 Ford Everest Wolftrak is available to order in Australia, priced from AU$ 73,000 (US$ 50,900) for the 2.0-liter four-cylinder model and from AU$ 79,990 (US$ 55,800) for the 3.0-liter V6 diesel variant. Interestingly, the latter matches the price of the V6-only Everest Tremor which features uprated suspension.

The main rival of the Ford Everest in Australia is the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, although it also competes with the Isuzu MU-X, the GWM Tank 500, and the upcoming Mitsubishi Pajero.
