This $299,900 Restomod Blurs The Lines Between 1st And 5th Gen Camaro

Built by Ultimate Auto of Orlando, this highly-modified 1967 Camaro first made its debut at the 2013 SEMA Show.

According to the eBay ad, the car was commissioned for a whooping $420,000, making its current asking price of $299,000, somewhat of a bargain, at least if you like to think in those particular terms, because if you don’t, that’s a lot of dough for a Camaro.

Performance-wise, the full Detroit Speed suspension and Tremec 6-speed manual work together with the massive 6.2-liter Chevy Performance LS9 crate engine, keeping the 638 HP and 604 lb-ft (819 Nm) of torque in check.

Other external features include the BASF Carizzma Ruthless red paint, hand-laid carbon fiber roof, custom 20 & 21″ Vellano VKS wheels, custom hood & trunk lid, ’69 Camaro taillights, Baer 4-wheel disc brakes and the custom side-exit exhaust.

Inside, the builder brought the 1967 Camaro’s interior into the 21st century by adapting a 5th-gen Camaro cabin, which was further customized in leather and suede, featuring air conditioning, a Pioneer touchscreen system, JL subwoofers, F5 buckets, custom rear buckets, carbon fiber trim and custom pillar covers.

It’s clear that a lot of work went into this project, which means collectors will certainly see value in owning this one-of-a-kind car, winner of a 2015 Goodguys Builder’s Choice Award.

  • Six_Tymes

another amazing build. although I think a black interior would have looked better.

  • Matthijs

Too bad they’ve made it ugly…

  • Dave Sturge

Beautiful work and craftsmanship but why would you choose such a unfortunate interior colour?

    • Status

      Automotive design clay brown.

  • p00pman

Is it bad that i like how it looks in primer with unpainted wheels better?

  • Tinky-Winky

This thing belongs in the category of automotive atrocities.

  • CarCzarDesigner

I guess someone with too much money, decided building the Mother of all Camaro’s was well worth the price.

  • Randy Redbird

It’s a nice build and I like the colors.

    had a 68 SS 396/325hp
    had a 11 SS2

both kinda like peering out of a bucket and drove like a boat

The 2nd and 4th gen were more sporty to drive

the 3rd was just plain bad luck

too poor now days to buy a 6th gen

    I despised the 11 SS2 and I now drive a 02 SS -w- LS6 LQ9

  • Bash

this interior color makes it look like nothing but a render!!

  • Belthronding Tinuviel

    exterior is pure badass!
    interior is disaster!

  • Miknik

So it has a bespoke, custom made interior and yet it comes with more blank switches than your base Nissan Versa?

    • bonzomatic

      I noticed that too.

  • bonzomatic

What the heck is with those awful floor mats? They spent all that time and money on the interior, and then threw some auto parts store mats in there.

    • T_Cake

Whoah, man! Some kid in China worked super hard on those. Just ease up.

  • psiqtas

Looks overdone to me, so in fact I like that factory-inspired interior more than the outside.

  • Astonman

I love that interior. Especially the back seat area

  • Blade t

Hey lets put a cover over the whole engine…wtf
