Russia’s new presidential limo made its debut during Vladimir Putin’s inauguration in May and now the civilian version of the car has been unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show.

According to Autocar, the vehicle is being produced a new brand called Aurus which is run by Russia’s Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engine Institute. The model is called the Senat and it will be offered in both short and long wheelbases.

The car is heavily influenced by Rolls-Royce and the standard model reportedly measures 5630mm (18.4 feet) long and has a wheelbase that spans 3300mm (10.8 feet). For comparison, the Rolls-Royce Phantom is 5762mm (18.9 feet) long and has a 3552mm (11.6 feet) long wheelbase.

The long-wheelbase Senat, on the other hand, measures 6630mm (21.7 feet) long with a wheelbase stretching 4300mm (14.1 feet). This dwarfs the Phantom EWB which is 5982mm (19.6 feet) long and has a wheelbase of 3772mm (12.3 feet).

Unsurprisingly, the Senat focuses on luxury and pictures reveal the model will come with a stylish cabin that features premium leather upholstery, wood trim and metallic accents. Other notable highlights include a digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment system.

The rear passenger compartment is also pretty luxurious as it features reclining rear seats and “fold-out tables.” The model also has a refrigerator and crystal glasses which are perfect for enjoying an adult beverage.

Two different engine options will be available including a 4.4-liter V8 that is backed up by an electric motor. The powertrain produces 590 hp (439 kW / 598 PS) and is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission which enables the model to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than six seconds.

Buyers looking for something more prestigious can opt for a 6.6-liter V12 engine. It reportedly produces 848 hp (632 kW / 859 PS) which is far more than the Phantom’s 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS).

Another interesting feature that separates the Senat from the Phantom is all-wheel drive. Rolls-Royce customers looking for that feature are currently stuck with only one option: the Cullinan.

The Senat will go on sale in Russia early next year and it will reportedly be offered in international markets. Pricing remains unconfirmed, but Vedomosti quoted Russia’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, as saying the Senat will cost at least 20% less than models from Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
