Koenigsegg has just appointed Alexander Selipanov as its head of design in a move that could see the design of the Swedish company’s models change drastically in the future.

Selipanov started out in Volkswagen in 2005 and, in 2010, briefly worked with Lamborghini and contributed to the design of the Huracan. In 2014, he was appointed head of exterior design, creative at Bugatti and responsible for the designs of both the Vision Gran Turismo and the Chiron.

More recently, Selipanov, also known as Sasha, was recruited by Genesis as the new chief designer at the Global Genesis Advanced Studio. During his time at the South Korean car manufacturer, he led the design team which created both the stunning Essentia and Mint concepts.

As part of his move to Sweden, Selipanov will also serve as the managing director and chief designer at the RAW Design House in Angelholm, which offers a wide range of design services to clients.
