It has become all too common for the major players within the automotive industry to skip big car shows, and the latest to announce a withdrawal is Lamborghini which won’t be attending the 2020 Geneva Motor Show

In the press release that speaks about their record sales achieved last year, the Italian car maker said that they will not be present at the event hosted between March 2 and 15 in the Swiss city.

“Lamborghini continues its strategy in 2020 of presenting new models and initiatives within exclusive and personalized settings and events for customers and media”, they explained. “In this context, Lamborghini will not be present at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2020.”

In other related news, the Raging Bull has confirmed hybrid versions of all next generation supercars. They didn’t go into specifics, but this is a clear confirmation of electrified variants of the Huracan and Aventador successors. Furthermore, the Urus is also believed to gain a hybrid powertrain, likely similar to the one used in the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, where it develops a combined 670 hp and 663 pound-feet (900 Nm) of torque.

Meanwhile, Lamborghini has already tapped into the electrified game with the Sian. The hybrid supercar was introduced last year, builds on the same platform as the Aventador and packs the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 and a mild-hybrid system. The combined output available is 808 horsepower, which allows it to accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds and up to 217 mph (350 km/h).
