2021 Skoda Enyaq iV Shows Its Tech-Loaded And Roomy Interior

Skoda has offered us a glimpse inside the Enyaq iV electric crossover ahead of the model’s launch that is scheduled for September 1.

Dominated by a multi-layer dashboard, with the central air vents inspired by the traditional Skoda grille, the interior boasts a large 13-inch display. Apart from the infotainment system, this will be used to control a number of functions, while the Enyaq iV also sports a digital instrument cluster and an innovative head-up display with augmented reality functions.

The central console features the tiny gear selector in front of the electric parking brake. A couple of storage spaces are located next to it and, under the dash, the automaker has added what seems to be a wireless charging pad for smartphones. Ambient lighting is also on deck and sustainable materials round up the offering, including the seat covers that are be made from 40 percent wool and 60 percent fibers obtained from recycled plastic bottles, while the cognac-finished leather gets its color from an extract of olive-tree leaves.

“Instead of the usual equipment lines and numerous additional options, we are offering our new Design Selections in the Enyaq iV for the first time”, said Norbert Weber, chief of interior design. “These are reminiscent of modern living environments, featuring perfectly coordinating colors and materials.”

Besides these, the Volkswagen ID.4’s Czech cousin promises an airy interior with more room for the middle rear passenger and a flat floor on top of the battery pack, as well as a 20.7 cu-ft (585 liters) boot.

Based on the VW Group’s MEB platform, the Enyaq iV will launch with five power levels, three battery sizes and rear- or all-wheel drive. The outputs will range between 146 and 302 HP, and the base model will offer a 211-mile (340 km) range with the battery fully charged, while another version will give it an autonomy of up to 310 miles (500 km).
