The former police chief of Mexico City has had 41 cars, three jet skis, an ATV, and a motorcycle seized from his home as part of an investigation into an alleged inappropriate use of funds.

At the start of the year, Raymundo Collins was accused of diverting at least $331,000 while he was the director of Mexico City’s Housing Institute. On January 14, Interpol issued a red notice for the capture of Collins. He has also been investigated for illegally purchasing a property in the Álvaro Obregón borough of Mexico City and has already been fined the equivalent of $15.1 million for the transaction.

Collins’ car collection includes a host of desirable classics from different eras. For example, at least two second-generation Ford Mustangs were seized, as was a C3 Corvette, a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado, a 1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan, a 1927 Ford Model T, and a classic Land Rover Defender.

Collins started serving as police chief in July 2018 and held the post until December 2018. A Mexico City judge issued a warrant for his arrest on September 8, but he is believed to be hiding in the United States. As such, Mexico’s Attorney General Office filed an extradition request with the U.S. over the weekend.

“[Collins] has an arrest warrant for his probable participation in the crime committed by public servants in the form of improper use of attributions and powers, in addition to [being wanted] by the National Institute of Migration,” a spokesperson from the Mexican Attorney General Office said in a statement, The Daily Mail reports.
