Hofele’s 2021 HG 63 Is A Yet Another Take On The Mercedes-AMG G63

German tuning company Hofele has just unveiled its latest project that’s based on the Mercedes-AMG G63 and is dubbed the HG 63.

Immediately making this G63 stand out is the bespoke Moonbeam Silver matte paint adorning its exterior. The SUV has also been outfitted with various components finished in Liquid Black Chrome, including at the front grille and across areas of the revised front bumper.

Speaking of the revised front bumper, it sports larger air intakes than a regular G63 and adds a touch of aggression. Also fitted are a set of 24-inch cross-spoke forged alloy wheels and exposed carbon fiber accents.

Hofele has thoroughly overhauled the interior of the G63, adorning it in bright red leather and Alcantara across the pillars and headliner. The Mercedes is also rocking individual captain’s chairs in the second row and includes a new center console with a built-in control panel, storage, and wireless charging.

The tuner notes that it shifted the second-row seats back, thus providing passengers with 10 cm of additional leg room. Additionally, the rear seats are electrically adjustable with memory settings, heating, ventilation, and backrests that can be reclined. To further cater to rear-seat passengers, Hofele has modified the rear doors that now open wider and also fitted full-length electrically-operated side steps.

Hofele hasn’t messed with the G63’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, although it has installed a valve-controlled exhaust system.

Buying a modified G63 AMG from the tuner with all of these upgrades doesn’t come cheap. In fact, Hofele says customers can expect something in the region of €300,000 ($353,000) plus taxes for one of its HG 63 models.
