Lots of weird things happened in 2020 and between all the chaos that impacted that year, BMW found the time to collaborate with New York fashion brand Kith to build a limited edition version of the M4 Competition. One of these cars is now heading to Mecum Auctions’ Dallas sales event running from September 20 to 23.

A mere 150 examples of the M4 Competition Kith Edition were produced worldwide and when viewed from the outside, you’d be hard-pressed to know this isn’t just a regular M4. Indeed, the only giveaway is the large Kith graphic on the carbon fiber roof and a badge at the rear. The rest of the car’s exterior is dominated by BMW Frozen Dark Silver Metallic paint and plenty of carbon fiber parts, including the front air intake surrounds, wing mirrors, rear lip spoiler, and the rear diffuser. A BMW M 50th Anniversary badge is also featured.

The interior of the M4 Competition Kith Edition really stands out. For starters, the two-door sports car comes standard with BMW M’s most aggressive, carbon fiber-backed bucket seats now clad in a combination of black, red, and light blue leather. The rear seats feature the same combination of leathers and all the headrests also have an embossed Kith script.

Rare BMW M4 Competition Kith Edition Has All The Bells And Whistles

The Mecum listing is shy on details about this specific Kith Edition but adds that the seats are heated and that there is also a heated steering wheel. We also know that the car has only ever been driven 20 miles (32 km) so will be perfect for someone who plans to drive it frequently or someone who plans to keep it pristine in a collection.

No mechanical modifications have been made to the M4 Competition Kith Edition. As such, it continues to be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder with 503 hp and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. No pre-auction estimate has been provided by the car but a similar model with 40 miles under its belt sold for $115,555 at an auction in early 2022.
