Road rage is always dumb because even at its best, it’s a waste of time. At its worst, it can lead to criminal charges and more. In this incident, two truck drivers collided, causing a Toyota Tundra to perform an impromptu rollover stunt, and resulting in a brawl involving roughly half a dozen individuals. The aftermath? Three folks behind bars, several hospital-bound souls, and one unfortunate person missing a piece of their nose.

Around noon on Wednesday, December 20th, a fight broke out on Sunrise Highway on Long Island. Reports say that before the brawl, occupants from both vehicles, a Toyota Tundra and a GMC Sierra, were involved in a chase with one another. That chase evidently began with a disagreement between the two parties at traffic court.

Somehow all of that led to the Toyota Tundra rolling onto its passenger side before occupants from both vehicles met one another in the street. Almost immediately the parties begin trading blows and some of the combatants wield what were allegedly pickaxe handles.

Video footage of the brawl depicts both sides resorting to a range of tactics, from grappling to upper-cut punches, and even employing pickaxe handles. Regrettably, there were two children inside the overturned Toyota who appeared to have been neglected during the altercation. There are no reports of their status at this point.

According to Long Island News 12, the parties knew one another and might be distant cousins. Police made three arrests. 38-year-old Patrick O’Connor, his 19-year-old son James O’Connor, and an unnamed 16-year-old are all facing charges now. Patrick is said to have lost a portion of his nose in the battle.

Multiple bystanders attempt to step in and end the violence while countless others stand by and watch. James was charged with leaving the scene of an accident since the Toyota was his. He’s also facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child. All three are being held on $50,000-$100,000 bail.
