- Nine Tomica models will roll out in three waves, with one model yet to be revealed.
Toyota’s motorsport division Gazoo Racing has teamed up with McDonald’s once again in Japan, this time bringing the GR GT3 racing car to the Happy Meal lineup. The campaign marks the car’s move from concept to a global GT3 contender and pairs the launch with a livery design contest.
The scale model of the GR GT3 is produced by Tomica and wears McDonald’s and Toyota Gazoo Racing decals. It features the aggressive aero package and side-mounted exhausts that set the race car apart from the upcoming production supercar.

Owners of the die-cast can also unlock digital content by scanning a QR code on the packaging, which connects the toy to interactive web experiences.
Alongside the black GR GT3, which serves as the headline attraction, the 2026 Happy Meal Tomica lineup includes several other toy vehicles. The first batch, available between April 10 and 23, includes a Toyota Town Ace Hamburger truck, a Nissan Skyline sedan police car, and a fire truck. Most kids will likely gravitate toward the GR model.

The second batch follows between April 24 and May 7, including a Nissan Caravan ambulance, a Toyota Dyna tow truck, a two-story bus, a Hino Profia Megalodon Transport Truck, and a mystery model. The final model appears to be another GR GT3, likely finished in a different livery. Starting May 8, all nine models will be available to Happy Meal customers.
Beyond the toys, the partnership includes a “GR GT3 Wrapping Design Contest” hosted on X. Japanese fans of all ages are invited to download a coloring template of the model and submit their custom dream liveries for a chance to win exclusive prizes.

The latest campaign continues a successful tradition of collaborations between Toyota Gazoo Racing and the fast-food giant. In 2020, the two brands teamed up to promote the GR Supra, while in 2024 they offered Tomica scale models of the Toyota GR Corolla and GR 86 in the Happy Meal.
