Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he was diagnosed with cancer. The surprise announcement was made during an episode of Clarkson’s Farm, where the former Top Gear and The Grand Tour host revealed he had an “aggressive” form of the disease.
According to BBC News, Clarkson said he has known “since May,” but it’s not entirely clear when the episode was filmed. However, the outlet reported the series was shot in 2024 and 2025, which suggests the TV star has known for at least a year.

Clarkson went on to explain, “I disappeared … the other week and I had a biopsy, and it is cancer.” He later specified he had prostate cancer and this required part of his prostate to be removed.
The episode reportedly ends with Clarkson saying, “Some of the treatment’s gone a bit awry” and “I don’t know what’s going to happen.” He added “If this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t.”
Variety reports the cancer was caught “really early,” which is encouraging. However, there’s a lot be don’t know and can only wish him the best.
While it remains unclear if Clarkson will be okay, Prostate Cancer UK thanked him for sharing his diagnosis and “raising vital awareness with the millions of men and families watching.” The organization went on to say, “Thankfully he found the disease at an early stage, but sadly this is still not the experience of many men across the UK. Over 10,000 dads, brothers, sons and friends are diagnosed too late for a cure every year.”
