If you’re in the market for a premium four-door coupe, then the Audi A5 Sportback should definitely on your list.

But so should Volkswagen’s latest offering, the new Arteon, which is being marketed as a more plush replacement to the old CC.

Turns out that both are priced similarly, from around £33,000 ($43,800) in the United Kingdom, but despite this, they’re quite different, as CarWow found in their review, after taking both cars out for a spin.

Taking a closer look at their exterior designs, the Arteon looks sportier and has a massive grille that manages to outshine the more conservative Audi A5 Sportback.

Things are quite different inside as well, as the Arteon borrows its dashboard from the regular Passat, and uses some premium materials, but overall, the A5 seems to win the race here, with Ingolstadt’s saloon being the best car to sit in.

The Volkswagen, on the other hand, has plenty of rear legroom and boot space, so if this is an important criteria, then you might want to choose the new Arteon, because the A5 Sportback feels more cramped.

Before making your decision, though, you may want to take both cars out for a short drive. But which one is the reviewer’s favorite? There’s one way to find out, and it means checking out the video after the break.
