- Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series global sales reached 105,700 units in 2024.
- Middle Eastern countries accounted for nearly 60 percent of all sales.
- Russia ranked 9th despite Toyota exiting the market after the Ukraine invasion.
The Land Cruiser 300 Series is the largest model in Toyota’s expanded Land Cruiser lineup, a full-size SUV that remains off-limits to North America, where buyers get the slightly smaller 250 Series and the more upscale Lexus LX instead.
While the 300 Series is a familiar sight in Middle Eastern markets, it was Australia that ended up as the model’s top market in 2024.

According to data compiled by Felipe Munoz of Carindustryanalysis, Toyota sold 105,700 units of the Land Cruiser 300 Series last year. That figure marks a modest 2 percent drop compared to 2023. Australia took the lead with 13,790 sales, just ahead of Japan, which came in second with 13,174 units.
Middle East Remains a Key Stronghold
Although Australia topped the list, markets across the Middle East accounted for a significant share of global sales. 59% of all J300 units sold in 2024 were delivered to countries in the region. Saudi Arabia ranked third overall with 12,381 units, followed by the United Arab Emirates (9,319), Oman (8,882), Qatar (8,685), Kuwait (8,028), Iraq (7,133), and Jordan (2,849), which rounded out the top ten.
2025 Toyota Land Cruiser (Australia)
The only other market to make the top ten outside the Middle East, besides Australia and Japan, was Russia. Despite Toyota halting official deliveries there at the start of the war in Ukraine, the 300 Series still registered 3,682 sales, putting Russia in ninth place.
What Could Have Been for North America
Munoz points out that global figures might have been even higher if Toyota had made the Land Cruiser 300 available in the US and Canada, where it offers the slightly larger Sequoia instead.

The Land Cruiser 300 Series has been around since 2021, riding on the TNGA-F ladder-frame architecture. The SUV received a digital instrument cluster for the 2025 MY and a self-charging hybrid powertrain option for the 2026 MY alongside minor styling updates. The electrified version is the most powerful Land Cruiser to date, with a combined output of 457 hp (341 kW / 464 PS) from a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 and a single electric motor.
It will be interesting to see if the rollout of the updated version and the hybrid option will have a positive effect on the sales of the J300 this year. The Toyota might also be affected by the recent debut of the rival Nissan Patrol, which just got a new generation after 15 years.
