• Jeep test ride allegedly escalated into abduction in Ohio.
  • Saleswoman reportedly told “Be a good girl” during detour.
  • Saleswoman claims he threatened her and smashed her phone.

Test drives are an essential part of the car buying process, but they can be a little awkward when the salesperson tags along. Unfortunately for one woman, awkwardness was the least of their concerns.

According to WBNS, Todd Marrs visited Performance Luxury Sport and requested a test drive. While the dealership is primarily focused on high-end cars from BMW, Bentley, Mercedes, and McLaren, the man wanted to check out a Jeep Wrangler.

The dealership obliged and a female sales associate went along for the ride. Things quickly went sideways as Marrs reportedly took an unusual route, before stopping in a warehouse parking lot for around five minutes.

The salesperson eventually told the man to return to the dealership, but he allegedly snapped back with “No, now you’ll sit there and wait like a good girl.”

That undoubtedly set off alarm bells, so she informed her colleagues about what was happening and shared her location with them. When she tried to call the dealership, Marrs reportedly took her phone and threw it on the floor.

Things then took a strange turn as Marrs allegedly decided to run errands. This reportedly included going to a nearby hospital to pick up a friend.

While the exact details remain a little hazy, Marrs eventually drove back to the dealership with the saleswoman and his friend in tow.

In the wake of the incident, the man was reportedly indicted for abduction and disrupting public services. The specifics are unclear, but the Joslyn Law Firm says third degree felony abduction can result in up to five years in prison as well as a fine of up to $10,000.

A second-degree felony bumps that up to eight years and a fine of up to $15,000. Needless to say, Marrs probably should have just got an Uber instead.
