• Suzuki has launched a new Swift Sport factory bodykit in Japan.
  • The kit is built by Awin and can be combined with other bits.
  • Pricing ranges between $1,200-2,000 depending on the options.

The Suzuki Swift Sport was a pint-sized hot hatch that built up a devoted following before bowing out last year with the ZC33S Final Edition, leaving no direct replacement behind. The current Swift still hasn’t been handed a proper performance variant, but Suzuki has revived the Swift Sport name in Japan in a different form, as a factory-backed bodykit you can option from the showroom floor.

The package was previewed by the Swift Aero Concept back in April 2026, which itself followed the sportier Swift Champions Concept shown in January 2025. The production version is built by Japanese firm Awin and sold through the official Suzuki Select Plus catalog at local dealers.

Three pieces make up the core kit, an aggressive front splitter, a set of side skirts, and a rear bumper extension, all finished in black. There’s no rear wing in the mix, but buyers can pile on the extras, including a black grille garnish, matching alloy wheels, carbon-look mirror caps, door handle protectors, a unique fuel lid cover, hood decals, and stainless steel pedals.

The sharper stance is where the changes stop, because the Swift gets nothing in the way of chassis or performance hardware. Power still comes from the mild-hybrid naturally aspirated 1.2-liter engine, rated at 81 hp (60 kW / 82 PS) and 112 Nm (83 lb-ft) of torque. The engine pairs with either a CVT or a manual gearbox, driving the front wheels or all four.

The Swift Sport bodykit by Awin is available for new and existing owners of the model in Japan alongside other genuine accessories. As for pricing, the front spoiler and the rear bumper extension cost ¥63,800 ($394) each, the side skirts retail for ¥70,400 ($435), and the full package is listed for ¥198,000 ($1,224). Additionally, you will need ¥22,000 ($136) for the black grille garnish, ¥96,932 ($600) for the wheels, valves, and center caps.

Word last year pointed to Toyota and Suzuki each developing something hotter, a GR Starlet and a new Swift Sport respectively. Neither has been confirmed, so until one of them puts a real car on the table, the affordable hot hatch revival stays unproven.
