- Novitec reveals tuning package for the open-top Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider.
- The model gains forged Vossen wheels, carbon aero and sports springs.

Ferrari recently launched the “Manuale” variant of the 12Cilindri, fitting it with a modified dual-clutch automatic that runs three pedals and a gated shifter. Owners of the standard car left feeling shortchanged can get their own fix from Novitec, which has assembled a round of aero, chassis, interior and exhaust work to keep things fresh without wandering into vulgar territory.

Following its earlier work on the coupe, Novitec has turned to the open-top Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider. The aero package is mild by tuner standards and, the company claims, actually functional. It brings a front splitter, garnish for the bumper intakes and side gills, sharper side skirts, new mirror caps, a rear diffuser and a lip spoiler, all finished in high-gloss carbon fiber.

The centerpiece is the NF12 forged wheels with Y-shaped spokes and centerlock-style hub cover, developed in cooperation with Vossen. The new shoes measure 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the back, filling up the wheel arches.
The sporty stance of the grand tourer is further enhanced by a set of sport springs, bringing the 12Cilindri closer to the ground by 30 mm (1.2 inches).

Under the long hood sits the same naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, unchanged at 819 hp (830 PS / 610 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. Novitec left the output alone but dressed the engine in an exposed carbon cover and added dual air filter boxes.

Sticking to habit, Novitec sharpened the 12Cilindri’s voice with custom exhaust systems in either stainless steel or F1-grade Inconel, both running active butterfly valves. For the owner who has run out of other things to buy, 999 fine gold plating is on the menu for better heat dissipation, along with insulated sports catalysts and tailpipes in matte black or gold.

Last but not least, the tuner can retrim the two-seater cabin in fine leather and Alcantara according to the preferences of each owner. Pricing hasn’t been made public, which is rarely a good sign for the wallet.

Ferrari is working on a hardcore version of the 12Cilindri, which is expected to bring a more aggressive aero and chassis setup combined with more power from the V12. Judging from previous generations of Maranello grand tourers, Novitec will likely develop a more comprehensive tuning package for the that car too, possibly as part of the N Largo series.
