Watch Corsa Smash Into Near-Stationary Traffic On Highway

What we have here is an unfortunate case of avoiding one collision, losing control of your car and causing a separate one, all in the span of a few moments.

According to the video’s description and Brian Smith, the truck driver, the Corsa had to swerve to avoid running into the back of the truck, itself almost coming to a stop because of traffic ahead.

What happens next is fairly obvious, with the driver of the Corsa unable to maintain control of the car and smashing right into another vehicle, sending it spinning into the middle lane.

Emergency services arrived soon after and cleared the middle lane, although the first lane remained closed according to Smith. He also mentions that an old lady sitting in the back of the stationary car was taken to the hospital following the impact.

  • That is why you don’t come to a complete stop on a freeway… Excellent reaction from the truck driver!!!

WHat should the Toyota have done? Crash himself so he doesn’t stop? Yes, stopping is not ideal, but in rush hour traffic especially often unavoidable.

      • i was not talking about the guy in the Aygo but the idiot two cars ahead who came to a full stop so to leave the car that was waiting to get in the highway.
