It took Toyota roughly half a trip around the sun to launch the new generation Sienna since it was first unveiled, as the minivan will finally start arriving at dealers across the nation in November.

The range includes five trim levels, the LE, XLE, XSE, Limited and Platinum, with eight seats in the first two and seven seats in some of the latter four specs.

Pricing stretches between $34,460 and $49,900 (MSRP) for the front-wheel drive models, and $36,460 through to $50,460 for AWD variants.

The electronic on-demand all-wheel drive system is available in the LE and XLE for a $2,000 premium, and costs an extra $760 in the XSE. The system is also offered in the Limited and Premium, for $1,800 and $560 respectively, aiding the traction of the 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine that works in conjunction with two electric motors, delivering a total of 243 HP. The new Sienna, which features a self-charging battery, returns an EPA-estimated 36 mpg (6.5 l/100 km) on average.

The Safety Sense 2.0 system, with automatic high beams, road sign assist, lane trace assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and dynamic radar cruise control, is standard. The 9-inch infotainment system with smartphone integration, Bluetooth, SiriusXM (3-month subscription), Safety Connect (1-year trial), Wi-Fi Connect (up to 2 GB within 3-month trial), reversing camera and others are also part of the offering in the entry-level grade.

For the Audio Plus, which adds Siri Eyes Free, 8-speaker audio, Wi-Fi Connect powered by AT&T (up to 2 GB for the 6-month trial) and several other things, customers will have to pay a bit more in the LE – yet it’s standard in the XLE. The XSE meanwhile adds a navigation system, while the Limited and Platinum boast a premium audio system from JBL, which is optional in the XLE and XSE.
