This 1955 Willys Pickup Has The Chassis And Drivetrain Of A 2014 Wrangler

A classic 1955 Willys Jeep Truck that has been brought into the modern age with some pretty serious upgrades is currently up for grabs.

This bespoke Willys was imported to the United States from Alberta, Canada by the selling dealership earlier this year and is being offered in Portland, Oregon with customs documentation, an appraisal, and an Idaho title. It just 26,000 miles on the clock and is one of the most distinctive pickup trucks you’re likely to ever come across.

Underpinning it is the chassis and drivetrain from a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. As such, the Willys has a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that packs some extra punch thanks to the addition of a RIPP supercharger. Sending power through all four wheels is a five-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case.

A lot of work has been done to the exterior of the truck. For example, it sports widened bodywork and has Poison Spider bumpers, a swing-away spare tire carrier, a special metallic copper paint with a black roof, and a modified hood to accommodate the new engine. The Bring A Trailer listing adds that the pickup has Wrangler door handles and mirrors, power-retractable steps, Model A taillights, HID headlights, and 12-gauge shotgun shell primer caps on the upper bed rails. It also has 17-inch wheels with 35-inch Toyo C/T Open Country tires and a 3.5-inch Rock Krawler long-arm kit.

The interior was done by Cascade Vans and Interiors of Calgary and includes distressed brown and black leather as well as a matching headliner, door panels, rear bulkhead, and upper console.
