Gran Turismo 7 might have come out well over a year ago but it’s still improving. A new update coming soon promises to offer seven new high-performance legends. Here’s a quick breakdown of what we expect to come to one of the world’s leading console racing games.

This information comes to us directly from Polyphony Digital founder and CEO Kazunori Yamauchi. He posted on X over the weekend with a teaser tweet that’s typical of the creator not many days before an update goes live. In it, we see the silhouette of seven cars that are almost all easy to discern.

Kicking things off on the front row is the NISMO 400R. The hopped-up version of the R33 Skyline GT-R is notable for a number of improvements and upgrades over the standard car. It’s also important because it’s been a part of the Gran Turismo series in every single title since the beginning.

Next to it is a Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992). It’s given away by the fender strakes, double-bubble roof, and gigantic spoiler at the rear. On the left side, we see the Lexus LFA, another hallmark of the GT series. Players will no doubt love the wail of its hallowed V10, provided that GT7 emulates it properly.

In the back row, we see three American cars and a German. Starting on the right is a Dodge Charger. The second generation of the muscle car is one of the most famous and should find plenty of buyers in the game. Next to it is a bit of modern Dodge muscle, the Challenger Demon.

What’s still up for debate is which of the two modern Demons it is. Both use the same wide hood so it could be either one. At a minimum, it’ll be pumping 840 hp (626 kW) toward the rear wheels though so it’s sure to be a handful. Sitting three from the right in the rear row is the Tesla Model 3.

It seems reasonable that this will be the Performance variant but only time will tell. Finally, a Mercedes 190E (W201) is on the far left. It likely has more variants than any other here in terms of cars that could appear. For now, we’ll continue to hope that it’s the legendary Evo II DTM.
