Most teenagers spend years dreaming about the day they might finally drive something exotic. One 16-year-old in Melbourne apparently skipped the waiting part. Police claim the teen allegedly stole a Lamborghini Urus and spent the next 16 hours roaming across the city in the high-performance SUV.
The adventure did not end well. It concluded when the Urus crashed into a suburban fence, bringing the long joyride, and the teenager’s freedom, to an abrupt stop.
Local reports say the black 2020Lamborghini Urus is owned by horse breeder and property developer Ozzie Kheir. The luxury SUV was reportedly taken from a property in Maribyrnong at about 1:15 AM on Wednesday, setting off a city-wide police search that lasted much of the day.

Numerous witnesses reported seeing the Italian exotic driven erratically throughout the day, with masked youths inside. The Lamborghini was also spotted driving onto pedestrian walkways and cutting through a shopping center car park.
Police kept eyes on the vehicle from above using aerial surveillance. Officers ultimately decided against launching a ground pursuit, citing public safety concerns.

The long run across Melbourne finally came to a halt around 4:35 PM in Glen Waverley. The driver reportedly lost control on Myers Avenue slamming the Urus into a residential fence. The crash left visible cosmetic damage along the SUV’s left side, though fortunately no injuries were reported.

According to the police report, the 16-year-old driver from Croydon was arrested at the scene. Three other individuals connected to the incident remain at large. Authorities took the teenager into custody and say he now faces charges including motor vehicle theft and reckless conduct endangering life.
Investigators also discovered social media posts allegedly tied to the suspect. The clips appear to show the teen filming the Urus interior during the theft. His Instagram account reportedly includes similar videos featuring a string of high-end vehicles, including models from Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and Range Rover.
